He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Gustafson and Viola Gustafson; his wife Ann Young Nauman; his stepson Doug Nauman (Angela); his granddaughter Kassandra Ann Nauman (Ty Knowler); and his brothers, Steve (Jody) and Mark (Val). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church in Boone or the Iowa Arboretum in Madrid.
