He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Ray (Eva) and Pearl Ray (Quinn); his son Robert Alan Ray; and his siblings, Wally Ray, Leo Ray (Gerri), Randy Ray and Joyce Cryder.
He is survived by: his wife Jo; his son Thomas Ray (Debbie) of Boone; and his sisters-in-law, Emma Belle Johnson of Story City and Vada Jean Patten (Dave) of North Liberty. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family for later designation.
