He was predeceased by: his father Zeldon Williams; his stepmother Phyllis Williams; his siblings, Kent Hubby and Vicki Miller; his brother-in-law Charlie Miller; his stepfather Merle Hubby; and his nephew John Lampe.

He is survived by: his mother Elaine Williams (Hinman) of Boone; his pet Max; his wife Peggy Williams of Boone; his son Barry Williams of Ames; his grandchildren, Jenna and Hunter Williams of Ames; his sisters, Nancy Van Cannon (Ronnie) of Boone and Debby Runge (Mike) of Boone; his mother-in-law Martha McDowell of Woodward; and his siblings-in-law, Patti Abram and Bill Rhoads.
