He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Veeder and Mabelle Veeder (Desing); his spouse Chris Halvorsen of Detroit; his daughter Corrine "Corky"; his son-in-law Toby Anderson of Boone, Iowa; his sons, Grant (Kim Veeder) and Mitch (Jayne Veeder); his stepgrandson Toby Anderson (Heather); his grandchildren, Brooke Ricafort (Romy), Jenna Solis (Lenny), Ryan Veeder, Sean Veeder, Lydia Vogel (Bradley) and Kelsey Coon (Bryce); and his great grandchildren, Tori Lynn, T. J. Anderson, Ryder and Audrey Ricafort.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Dan Veeder Family, C/O Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, P.O. Box 15, Boone, IA, 50036, for later designation.
