She was predeceased by: her parents, John and Mary (LaVelle); her husband John Sawyer; her son Michael; her grandson Brooks Sawyer; and her siblings, Gerald and Jeanne Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Sawyer of Boone, James Sawyer of Mountain Home, Joseph Sawyer (Danitza) of Patten, Maine and Patricia Miles (Erik) of Cedar Rapids; her daughter-in-law Doreen Sawyer of Boone; and her sisters, Clare Lager of Missouri Valley and Susan Lawler of Ogden. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family will be present from 6 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family or the Church of the Sacred Heart.
