She was predeceased by: her parents, Vitus Ripperger and Marcella Ripperger (Walk); her husband Murray Nelson; and her brother Kevin Ripperger. She is survived by: her daughter Darby Nelson of San Francisco; her siblings, Gary Ripperger of Des Moines, Lois Hoch (Denny) of Indianola and Lynette Levine (Bob) of Springboro; and her siblings-in-law, Grady Nelson (Claire) of Menomenee Falls, Kevin Nelson of Waukesha and Zoe Dessart (Harold) of Dousman. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Charlotte may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Iowa, or the Boone Area Humane Society on behalf of the family.
