He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sr. Michel and Mildred Michel (Cooper); and his brothers, John, Ross and Gerald Michel.
He is survived by: his wife Marianne of Boone; his daughter Tracy Michel of Boone; his grandchildren, Matthew Brown (Julie) of Boone and Breanne Brown of Boone; his great grandchildren, Molly, Faye Brown and Jamison Brown; and his siblings, Charlene Braland (Arnie) of Boone, Steve Michel (Linda) of Boone, Judy Frist (Mike) of Boone and Vicki Whattoff (Don) of Kearney, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
