She is survived by: her former husband Thomas Bigelbach; her husband Dan Doherty of Boone, IA; her sons, Michael Bigelbach of Sergeant Bluff, IA and David Bigelbach (Gaynor) of Shirley, MA; her grandsons, Owen and Anders of Shirley, MA; her sister-in-law Marcella Rose of Oceanside, CA; her nephew James Rose (Tonya) of Jackson, WY; and her stepchildren, Kelli Bennett of Boone, IA and Michael Doherty of Tampa, FL.
She then entered the convent of the Sisters Of Charity Of The Blessed Virgin Mary in Dubuque, Iowa and remained there for two years until family circumstances caused her return home.
