He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Elliott Allen and Dolly McDonald (Gordon); his wife Phyllis Marie Miller; and his grandson John. He is survived by: his children, Bill Allen of Des Moines, Richard Allen (Helen) of Nebraska, Stephen Allen of Ankeny, Kathy Allen (Jeff) of Pine Grove, Patty Hasstedt (Chris) of Boone and Mary Ingram (Brian) of Boone; his sister Etta Mae Daniels of Pilot Mound; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Mayfield of Boone and Norma Allen of Plainview. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.
