He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Porter and Martha Porter (Eckhoff); his wife Sheryl Davidson; and his sisters, Linda Davidson (Hasstedt) and Elizabeth Flattebo Stapes.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Porter (Michelle Firkins) of Emmetsburg, Kevin Porter (Michele) of Boone and Becky Brauch (Brian) of Boone; and his sister Lydia Jackson of Audubon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
