He is survived by: his children, Rex Alan Rettig of Bondurant, Mark Edward Rettig (Susan) of Peoria and Ellen Miki (Nobuyuki) of Kobe, Japan; his grandchildren, Glenn Baker (Nanxi), Diana Doore (Matt), Michael Rettig, Marissa Rettig and Matthew Rettig (Sophie); his great grandchild Tuli Sarah Baker; and his siblings, Geraldine Verano, Anne Snyer (William), Melvin Rettig (Maureen) and David Rettig. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
