Lou Jean Cory Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lou Jean Cory in Bondurant, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russsell Lewis and Leola Lewis (Bruner); her husband Robert Cory; her siblings, Carolyn Williamson, Bobby, Thomas, Ralph and Junior Lewis; and her grandson Chris Holmes.
She is survived by: her sons, Stephen Cory (Marla) and David Cory (Merri); her grandchildren, Jennifer Holmes and Collin Cory (Theresa); her great grandchildren, Cory and Mackenzie Holmes; her sister Christine Moots; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Cory, Karen Cory and Jerry Cory (Sandi). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary - Holy Cross Catholic Church (4600 NW Washington Ave, Elkhart, Iowa Disposition Holy). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Lou Jean. The family will be distributing those donations to either the Iowa State Fair, Sun Crest Hospice or a charity close to Lou Jean's heart.
