He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Kusel (Herker) and Garland Kusel; his parents-in-law, Carroll and Donna Shissler (Blood); his sister-in-law Kellie Kusel; and his daughter-in-law Melissa Sears.
He is survived by: his aunt Vi's Noodles; his wife Dianna Shissler; his children, Carrissa Godwin (Tim) of Prairie City, IA, Shawna Monaghan (Dan) of Mitchellville, IA, Trisha Hedges (John) of Bondurant, IA and Jeremiah Kusel of Slater, IA; and his siblings, Rebecca Tiffany (Carl) of Colfax, IA, John Kusel, Kevin Kusel (Candy) of Whiting, NJ and Pennie Warneke (Nick) of Altoona, IA.. He is also survived by 20 grandkids and 4 great grandkids and many nieces and nephews.
