He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Bowers; his brother Larry Bowers; his son Darin Dove; and his granddaughter Caitlin Marie LeMaster. He is survived by: his father Lloyd Bowers; his wife Maxine Bowers; his children, LaWanda LeMaster (Darrell), Fred Bowers Jr., Michael Bowers (Michele), Daniel Dove (Annette), Derek Dove (Heather) and DeAnna MacDonald; and his siblings, Dennis Bowers (Sue) and Linda Bowers Kimball. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in Fred's memory.
