It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Wenke of Bonaparte, Iowa, who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Wenke to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wenke, and Clara Wenke, Sr. (Schroeder); his spouse Jean Petersen; his granddaughter Alyson Mabe; and his siblings, John, Jr., Bernard, Henry, Ferd, Herman, Mary, Anna and Louise.

He is survived by: his children, Dana Mabe of Bonaparte, Evan Wenke of Fairfield and Mark Wenke (Laura) of Ottumwa, Iowa; his grandchildren, Heather Mabe, Natasha Heick (Dan), John Wenke (Diana) and Connor Davis (Kaeli); and his sister Elizabeth O'Connor of Fort Madison, Iowa.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
