Otis Kite Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Otis Kite Jr. of Bonaparte, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis James, Sr. and Bessie Mae Kite (Hatfield); his daughter Wendy Lee Chase; and his brothers, Roger and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Gilbert; his sons, Trae Kite (Kyli) of Milton, Cory Kite (Jill) of Weston and Tyler Kite (Tiana) of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; his grandchildren, Deven, Cree, Cohen, Cooper, Kale, Lily, Tessa and Taylynne; and his siblings, Cyrillis Kite of Farmington, Brenda Cochran (Joe) of Farmington, Lloyd Kite (Linda) of Bonaparte, Joe Kite (Kim) of Farmington and Gerald Kite (Diane) of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Schmitz Funeral Homes - Farmington (501 S 4th St, Farmington, IA 52625). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at the Croton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory.
