He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude W. Adkisson and Maude M. Adkisson (Bargar); his sister Nancy Ann; and his brother-in-law Jerry Mills. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Logan; his children, Jeff Adkisson (Juan Bravo) of Stockport, Suzanne Rice (Bill) of Bonaparte and Tim Adkisson of Eldridge, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jenna Rice (Scott Smith), Sam, Olivia Adkisson, Jonah, Elizabeth Adkisson (Lundberg), Brianna Rice, Max Adkisson, Lex Adkisson and Jax Adkisson; his great grandchild Luna Adkisson; and his sisters, Janet Mills of Mount Pleasant and Dolores Benner (Steve) of Montrose, Iowa..
