He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frank and Mildred Smith (Honn); his wife Bonnie; his sons, James Smith and Jeff Smith; his brother Bob Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Voss, Maury Olson, Betty Smith, Betty Gronbach and Pat Olson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jody McClure, Jill Lempke (Greg) and Jackie Foth (Brent); and his siblings, Bud Smith of Arizona and Margie Voss. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
