We bid farewell to Wendell Prior of Blue Grass, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 9, 2025 at the age of 93. Wendell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Prior and Laura Prior (Butler); his son Ronald Prior; his grandsons, Justin Prior and Bradley Thomas; and his siblings, Rhetta Hansen, Alice Emery, Bernard Prior, Clyde Place and Burl Place.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Parris; and his children, Douglas Prior (Becky) of Spirit Lake, Christine Prior of Humboldt, Matt Prior (Becky) of Winnsboro and Lynn Thomas (Scott Store) of Walcott, Iowa. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bentley Funeral Home (1001 6th St, Durant, IA 52747).
