William Houston Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Houston of Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on October 27, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVaughn "Bonnie" Houston and Lena Evadyne Houston (Vestal); his stepmother Ruby Mildred Lay; his mother-in-law Dorthy Brown; his stepson Gary McManus; his stepson-in-law Ronnie Rysdam; and his foster siblings, Shirley Francis and Robert Stevens.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Houston; his children, Tony Houston (Paula) of Bloomfield, Diana Wredt (Jerry) of Trenton and Connie Elswick (Rod) of Albia, Iowa; and his stepchildren, Teresa Owens (Richard) of Burlington, Mark McManus of Burlington and Sharon Rysdam of Bloomfield. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The family has requested that no flowers are sent and instead a donation be made in Bill's honor to the Wounded Warriors.
