He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Lloyd Wright and Kathryn Hunt Wright; his stepfather Robert Fenton; his son John Wright; his daughter-in-law Annette Wright; his great grandchildren, Jaxtyn and Westin; and his sister Linda Ellison.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Wright; his children, Diana Bunce (Dave) of Ottumwa, Wayne Wright Jr. (Deann) of Marion and Joe Wright (Jennifer) of Bloomfield; his stepson Mike Olson (Emily) of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Taylor Grim (Jerid), Carson Wright, Tyler Wright, Nathan Wright, Lauryn Wright, Miranda Wright, Ashley Sly, Bradley Fligg, Allen Fligg (Kiley Hicks), Rayne Olson, Eli Olson, Oakland Olson, Kendall Olson and Kynnick Olson; and his brothers, Donald Wright (LouAnn) of Cambridge and Jim Wright (Dixie) of Ottumwa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Heartland Humane Society in Ottumwa.
