It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tom Boas (Bloomfield, Iowa), born in Ottumwa, Iowa, who passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Louis and Marie Fae Boas (Amelang); his parents-in-law, Emery and Jessie Schlarbaum; his brothers, Carl and James Boas; and his brothers-in-law, Harley Schlarbaum and Don Ludwig.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Schlarbaum; his children, Jon Boas (Laurie) of Cincinnati, Kristi Lee (David) of Floris, Susan Buckallew (Colby) of Lancaster and Darci Jackson (Brian) of Ely, Iowa; his grandchildren, Levi, Gunnar, Spencer Boas, Bryer, Josie, Carley, Dugan Oden, Whitney, Rocky, Davina Lee, Alexis Shanahan (Tyler), Chloe, Marissa Buckallew, Austyn, Blayk, Dominick and Brooklyn Jackson; his brothers, Ray Boas (Patricia) of Bloomfield and Roy Boas (Patsy) of Bloomfield; and his parents-in-law, Shirley, LeRoy Arndt, George, Deb Schlarbaum and Fran Ludwig. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
