He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Winfield Closser Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Closser (Montgomery); his wife Shirley Weller; and his siblings, Lee Closser, Dorothy Beiser, Ruth Henderson, Juanita Bonner, Bob Closser, Katherine Buchanan, Geraldine Weaver and Betty Jo Albrecht.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel Joseph Closser (Donna) and Brenda Closser; his grandchildren, Lincoln T. Closser, Adrian J. Muehe and Leah E. Dineen; his great grandchild Carter Dineen; and his siblings, Marilyn Lough (Gary) and Richard Closser.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion (211 E Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537).
