He was predeceased by: his father George Stuart "Stu" Lynch. He is survived by: his mother Lois Marie Albertson Lynch of Bloomfield; his wife Stephanie Lynch; his children, Lincoln Lynch (Josie) of Bloomfield, Lexis Frymoyer (Jared) of Bloomfield and Lydia Pratt (Fred) of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Landon, Jerett, Jetson Lynch, Jackson and Princeton Pratt; his siblings, Rhonda Thomas (Bill Sweatman) of Nashville, Tennessee and Rick Lynch (Susan) of Bloomfield; and his mother-in-law Naoma Horney (Gary) of Bloomfield.
Rod went to every Iowa State Fair of his lifetime, only missing the 2020 State Fair when it was cancelled due to Covid.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Davis County Fair and the Bloomfield Country Club for new cart sheds.
