He is survived by: his niece Amy Gansmann; his wife Deanna McFarland; his children, Jeremy McFarland (Lindsey) of Bloomfield, Stacy McFarland (Amy) of Creston, Iowa and Melinda Replogle (Jesse) of Moulton, Iowa; his grandchildren, Clayton, Rachel McFarland, Carter, Kenzie Replogle, Gus, Leo, Mac, Joe and Ike McFarland; and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl McFarland of Jefferson City, Cindy McFarland of Agency and Karen McFarland of Springfield, Missouri..

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Sharon Bluff Bible Camp to help restore the bath house area.
