As we bid adieu to Merle's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Merle has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin A. Shively and Vera Evelyn Guinn Shively. He is survived by: his brother Stan Shively (Becky) of Bloomfield; and his nephews, Stewart Shively (Brandi) of Bloomfield, Steve Shively (Meghan) of Bloomfield and Scott Shively (Cassie Plowman) of Bloomfield. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews; and a great-great-nephew.
A memorial has been established to his family and may be mailed to the funeral home at: Merle Shivley Memorial, 304 W. Jefferson St., Bloomfield, Iowa 52537.
