It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Wilkinson of Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Harold and Reva Marie Padget Wilkinson; his sisters, Laverda Rupe and Hildred Gordy; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Kirby, Bernard Piper, Ron Knock and Royce Gordy.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Wilkinson; his children, Jeanne Kelley (Craig) of Knoxville, Wilton Leon Wilkinson Jr. of Waukee, Janice Bruce (Kirk) of Ames and Julia White (Gary) of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Bradon Kelley of Knoxville, Jeremy Bruce (Kate Jopson) of San Fernando, Markus Bruce (Laura) of Bondurant, Lyndsi Antal (Jon) of Lancaster and Tyler White (Shelby) of Ottumwa, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Leah Bruce, Lucas Bruce, Casen Antal, Chayten Antal, Kaden White and Korbin White; and his siblings, Hannah Kirby of Centerville, LaDonna Piper of Norwalk, Lavenia Davis (Dave) of Des Moines, Cindy Knock of Williamsburg, Iowa and Loren Wilkinson of Springhill, Florida..
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Davis County "A" Club, Davis County Dollars for Scholars, Optimist Club, and Good Samaritan Society – Hospice in Ottumwa.
