He was predeceased by: his father Deo Piper. He is survived by: his mother Loraine Swift Piper of Bloomfield; his former wife LuAnn Harl; his children, Claudia Mather (C. J.) of Eldred, Jessica Cogburn (Dale) of Mena, Wesley McCane of Searcy, Wade McCane of Searcy and Jade Norman of Bloomfield, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jacob, Mason, Jaxon, Evelyn, Tylor, Izabel, Evan, Zoey, Braylon and Carson; his great grandchild Emery; and his siblings, Randy Piper (Molly) of Bloomfield, Charlene Harbour (Jerry) of Bloomfield and Julie Garrett (Doug) of Bloomfield. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established to his family.
