With profound sadness, we say goodbye to JoElla Cossel of Bloomfield, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. JoElla left this world on December 21, 2024 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid JoElla farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For JoElla is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vaughn Leo and Mabel Irene White Proctor; her husband Loren Edwin Cossel; her brother Max Proctor; and her brother-in-law John McMillin II.
She is survived by: her children, Lois Heckethorn (Doug), Vaughn "Eddie" Cossel (Deb), Gary Cossel (Sheila) and Lori Altheide; her brother Gene Proctor (Kathy); and her sisters-in-law, Kay Proctor and Lois McMillin. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 23 (and soon to be 24) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
