He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Hawkins and Faye Long Hawkins; and his wife Judith Latimer. He is survived by: his children, John Hawkins (Sherry) of Bloomfield, Joel Latimer of Bloomfield and Justine Black (Scott) of Oskaloosa, Iowa; his grandchildren, Colten Latimer of Bloomfield and Alexis Fiester (Bailey) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his great grandchild Mavin Fiester; and his brothers, Richard Hawkins of Hiawatha and Gordon Hawkins of North Dakota.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Heartland Humane Society and Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
