She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin McCullough and Vera Foster McCullough; her husband Henry E. Carter; her daughter Karen Schurman; and her siblings, Doyle McCullough, Leola Kinsler, Marilyn Mertens, Louise Acton and Ione Pool.
She is survived by: her son Charles Carter (Tammie) of Drakesville, Iowa; her siblings, Franklin McCullough of Des Moines, Cleo Hanssens of Leander and Glenice Roberts of Lancaster, Missouri; and her son-in-law John Schurman of Lacona, Iowa.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the family and will be designated at a later date.
