We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2023, at the age of 95, Helen Cary of Bloomfield, Iowa, born in Jacksonville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Edward Dean and Inez Vera Proudfit Canatsey; her husband Matson Cary; her granddaughter Kathy Jo Harrity; her siblings, Byron, Russell, Aleta, Maurine, Roberta, Sylvia and Jo; and her sons-in-law, Edward Slayton and Billy Blake.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Slayton of Memphis, Sandra Blake of Memphis and Connie Sargent (Eric) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; her stepdaughter Mary Stocker (Dean) of Drakesville, Iowa; her grandchildren, Lee Riebel of Downing, Kim Ludwick of Memphis, Richie Rader (Lori) of New London and Tonya Anders of Memphis, Missouri; and her stepgrandson Eric Stocker (Melissa) of Huntley, Illinois. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Care Center Activity Fund.
