He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Sr. Knapp and Lydia Knapp (Knapp); and his siblings, Launae Knapp, Lavina Schmeckkpepper, Evelyn Walker, George, Michael Jr. and Frank.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Knapp; his son Brian Knapp (Karla) of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Baxter Knapp (Morgan McDermott) of Fontanelle, Morgan Knapp of Bloomfield and Lexi Knapp (Tyler Closser) of Bloomfield; and his sister Mida Fehr of Eureka, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Apostolic Christian Nursing Home in Eureka, Illinois and the Lord's Cupboard in Bloomfield.
