He was predeceased by: his sister Judith; his fiancée Linda Owings; and his brother-in-law Loren Stoneman. He is survived by: his siblings, Evelyn Stoneman of Viroqua, Marilyn Brown (Bruce Long) of Bloomfield, Iowa and Charles Brown, Jr. (Pearl) of Bowling Green, Missouri; and his niece Lorrinda Stoneman Waege (James) of Tomah.
