He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Hanes and Hilda Hanes (Worrell); and his brother Carl "LeVaughn" Hanes. He is survived by: his wife LaDonna Horn; his sons, Lance Hanes and Russell Hanes; and his sister Helen Brown. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
