He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar A. Bunting and Grace "Beth" Bohi Bunting. He is survived by: his significant other Louive Wilson; his children, Christopher Bunting (Sara) of Brighton, Teresa Bunting of Alton, Jessica Hills of Burlington, Timothy Nizzi of Bloomfield, Kristopher Rader (Kate) of Iowa City and René Garmon (Josey) of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Jocelyn, Nakeya, Caden, Ruthie, Naomi, Lincoln, Jacob, Ryleigh, Braegin, Gannon, Haezlie, Harleigh, Rylee Jo, Lloyd, Iris and Gus; his great grandchildren, Gabby, Nova, Paisley and Aksel; and his sister Bea Cardwell (Jim) of Mt. Blanchard, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Burn Treatment Center at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics to help children who are under their care.
