He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Harry and Gladys Alberta Hays Pouder; his daughter Deb Thordarson; and his siblings, Richard, Ronald, Dennis and Vicki Pouder.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Pouder (Nancy) of Hereford, Tim Pouder of Sierra Vista and Mary Dunlavy (Danny) of Bloomfield; and his grandchildren, Kami Leonard (Ryan), Melisa Nishi, Chris Pouder, Kenny Pouder (Taylor), Courtney Reyes (Kate Lyon), Sullivan Dunlavy (Andy Daugherty) and Sheridan Joos (Lincoln). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wagler Funeral Home (304 W Jefferson St, Bloomfield, IA 52537). The military honors was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Hospice of Wapello and Davis Counties.
