He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Pottorff and Reva Bales Pottorff; his siblings, Leona Thompson, Lovena Henderson and Delbert Pottorff; and his niece Karen Pottorff.
He is survived by: his former wife Joyce Veatch; his wife Sandra Pottorff; his daughters, Diane Padget (Gail) of Belknap and Melinda Garmon (Dallas) of Bloomfield; his stepsons, Jerry Oliver (Heather) of New London, David Oliver (Tina) of New London, Rob Oliver (Stacey) of New London and Mike Oliver (Tonya) of Pulaski, Iowa; his nephews, Brian Pottorff and Dennis Thompson; and his niece Kathy Pottorff. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Good Samaritan Society Hospice.
