She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Ashmead and Helen Ashmead (Hill); her husband Pastor Charles W. King; her daughter Judy Stangl; and her son-in-law Stanley Solomon.

She is survived by: her children, Mia King Solomon of Iowa City, Charlene Hansen of Ottumwa and Daniel King of Austin, Texas; her grandchildren, Quinn Hansen, Cassandra Hansen, Riley Hansen and Ethan Stangl; and her son-in-law David Stangl of Arlington, Texas..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Calvary Open Bible Church in Ottumwa or Church of the Open Bible in Bloomfield.
