He is survived by: his parents, Rachel Eakins of Bloomfield and Jon Thornsberry of Cantril, Iowa; his sister Hannah Grim of Ottumwa, Iowa; his grandparents, Wayne, Judy Thornsberry of Cantril, Bill and Janice Eakins of Bloomfield; his aunts and uncles, Bill Shaw of Fairfield, David Thornsberry (Karoline) of Douds, Carla Eakins, Jennifer Hooper (James) of Hannibal and Sam Eakins of Ottumwa; and his cousins, Ryan, Taylor, Sarah, Zane Thornsberry, Tony, Tyler, William Bollman, Alexandra Snead, Curtis Oliver, Skylar, Madison and Rylee Eakins.
A memorial has been established to his family with designation of the gifts at a later date.
