He is survived by: his children, Lisa Hugen (Brian Schmitz) of Ottumwa and Steven Garrett (Roberta) of Glendale; his grandchildren, Jessica Garrett, Shennen Timpani (Mike), Zachary Garrett, Kennedy Hugen and Kooper Hugen; and his sister Peggy Shepherd (Bob) of Bloomfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
