He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wittenburg and Bernice Wittenburg (Miller); his nephew Timothy Wittenburg; and his uncle Edward Wittenburg. He is survived by: his siblings, Bonnie Wittenburg (Steve Suppan) of Wayzata, Minnesota and Andrew Wittenburg (Barbara) of Battle Ground, Washington; his niece Sara Suppan; his nephew Caleb Wittenburg (Jordan); his great-nephews, Judah and Ezekiel Wittenburg; and his close friends, Steve, Debbie Hacker, Matthew Hacker (Jodi), Joel, Grant and Alexis Hacker.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (100 Locust St SW, Blairstown, IA 52209). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at the Mound Cemetery (2650 77th St, Watkins, IA 52354).
