She was predeceased by: her parents, Axel Sorensen and Ellen Sorensen (Hansen); her husband Rubert "Bob" Petersen; and her granddaughter Alyssa Petersen. She is survived by: her friends, Joan, Charlene and Sharon (Golden Girls); her children, Paul Petersen (Pat) of Durango, CO, Peggy Pickering (Derrick) of Van Horne, Nancy Petersen of Apple Valley, MN and Ross Petersen (Christine) of Van Horne; and her sister Karen Madigan of Santa Rosa, CA.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
