He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl M. Filson and Hazel Filson (Carl); and his siblings, Lucille Taylor, Esther Cunningham, Ida Mae McGreer, Floyd Filson, Raymond Filson and Ruth Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Janet Steele. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
