He was predeceased by: his parents, Merril Countryman and Ruth E. Tonkinson Countryman; his brothers, Roy Countryman, Gary Countryman and Douglas Countryman; and his nephews, Michael Countryman, Clifford Brown and Mugs.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Countryman of Birmingham, IA; his children, Eric (Athena) of Stockport, IA, Nickalus (Amber) of Bentonsport, IA and Sabrina (CeCe) of Birmingham, IA; and his brothers, Charles Countryman, Steve Countryman (Chris) and Dennis Countryman (Diane). He is also survived by five grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be used for a scholarship to support students pursuing a trade career.
