He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia Ann Carruthers (Reece) and Donald Carruthers. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Marie Muhs of Birmingham; his children, Michael Carruthers (Ann) and Anita Hauser (Jeremy); and his brothers, Bud, Sam, Paul and Jack Carruthers. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
