She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Steele and Lottie Steele (Turnbull); her sisters, Helen Teeter, Maxine Gittler and Ila Mae Bittle; and her nephews, Don Pottorff and Sanford Bittle.
She is survived by: her husband Van Filson of Birmingham; and her sister Pauline Reeder of Fairfield. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
