The memory of Roger Dean Wiese of Bettendorf, Iowa, who passed away on December 6, 2024 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Erwin Wiese and Ruth Carolyn Miller Wiese; his former wife Jean Irene Ludemann; and his siblings, Lois Whitlatch, Warren, Harold and Walter Wiese.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Wiese of Bettendorf; his children, Julie Schwarz (Todd) of Durant, Allen Wiese (Tonya) of Bennett, John Wiese (Stephanie) of Bennett and Robert Wiese (Jenna) of Boone, Iowa; his stepsons, Brian Brown (Bev) of Mt. Juliet and Adam Brown (Amy) of Golden, Colorado; and his siblings, Carolyn Bunch of Fort Collins, Joyce Meier of Wilton, Iowa and Frank Wiese of Texas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fry Funeral Home (220 E 6th St, Tipton, IA 52772). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Inland Cemetery (230th St, Iowa).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Roger's honor will be used to plant trees on the family farm and to support other initiatives that celebrate and preserve Roger's legacy.
