He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Pate and Sylvia Pate (Jarrett); his siblings, Mike Pate, Robert Pate and Cathy Benton; and his brother-in-law Doug Horner.
He is survived by: his former wife Melinda Pate; his children, Robert Pate, Courtney Davis (Kyran) and Gerilynn Pate (Chris Patricio); his stepson Jesse Cantamaglia; his grandchildren, Naomi, Asher, Abram, Noah, Eden, Ace, Areia, Caleb, Marley and Jaxsin; his sister Marilyn Horner; his sister-in-law Deanna Pate; and his close friend Dana Goodmiller. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
