With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lee Schanze (Bettendorf, Iowa), born in Sterling, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 14, 2024 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddie Schanze and Ethel Schanze; his brother Joel Schanze; his nephew Mark Schanze; and his grandchildren, Anthony and Grace Nicholas.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Schanze (Norris); his children, Jeff Schanze (Sandra), Jennifer Nicholas (James) and Scott Allers (Colleen); his grandchildren, Jacy Crable (Jeremy), Jimmy Nicholas and Elijah Nicholas; his great grandchild Joey Crable; his brother David Schanze (Mary Ann); his brother-in-law Raja Choucair; and his nieces, Nadia Choucair (Tyler Spratt), Maya Hong (Keaton) and Leila Choucair (Vincent Patton).
